My first day at the clinic

Today was my first day working in the clinic. Saying I was nervous would be an understatement.... I arrived in my scrubs ready to work only to be greeted by a nurse who if she was even in the slightest good mood, had forgotten to inform her face.
When it was time for lunch I grab my sandwich & look around for a place to sit. The nurses had claimed their spot to eat lunch in the locker room, & apparently going in there is some type of intrusion on their territory. Which left me with the other weird room or the hall. Since I was afraid of forgetting the code & not being able to get back in the clinic, I chose the room. I found a stool next to a counter in the corner of the room. I sat and tried to stay out every ones way. Everyone looked at as they walked by, but must have thought I was far too busy eating my sandwich to say anything to.
finally I was called to shadow a nurse. I followed her around, rooming patients & not having a clue as to what she was talking about most of the time.
I was doing good, keeping up with everyone & not making a fool of myself. Until I start feeling sick. I think I'll just drink some water & I'll be fine. I was standing in the hall while a RN told me about Charting and lab work when I realized, I am going to pass out. right here, right now in the middle of the hall way. On my first day I was going to pass out in the center of the clinic. So I ASK to go to the bathroom, which apparently is weird to ask & you don't have to. As I am sitting on the edge of the toilet with my head between my legs I am thinking please don't pass out, & please no one walk in right now because I still have yet to figure out how to lock the bathroom door. Well it cant get much worse than this. So I walk out, grab some water then start rooming another patient. I am sitting on a stool and feeling worse than ever. So I tell a RN I don't feel well & they send me home and tell me if I feel better to come back tomorrow. Great. I will now be known as the girl who got sick on her first day of work & asks to go to the bathroom. I will never be invited to eat lunch now.
So I go to my car only to find that I have no idea where it is. I look for 15 minutes, & when I find it my back tire is extremely low on air. Perfect. I make it to the gas station to put air in my tires and the air pump is out of order.
This would happen to me on my first day.
4 hours done, 176 to go....
